TEA6017AT is a digitally configurable LLC and PFC combination controller designed for efficient resonant power supplies. It includes LLC and PFC controller functions. PFC can be configured to operate in DCM/QR, CCM fixed frequency, or multi-mode that supports all operating modes, optimizing PFC efficiency. TEA6017AT can construct a complete resonant power supply with a simple power supply design and a small number of components. TEA6017AT adopts a small narrow strip SO16 package.
The TEA6017AT digital architecture is based on high-speed configurable hardware state machines, ensuring reliability and real-time performance. In the process of power development, various operations and protection settings of LLC and PFC controllers can be adjusted by loading new settings to the device to meet specific application requirements. The proprietary TEA6017AT configuration content cannot be copied without authorization, ensuring configuration security.
Compared with traditional resonant topologies, TEA6017AT exhibits very high efficiency at low loads due to its use of LLC low-power mode. This mode operates within the power range between continuous switching (also known as high-power mode) and intermittent mode.
TEA6017AT fully complies with NXP's industrial application configuration file.
remarkable property
- Complete functionality of LLC and PFC controllers packaged in small SO16 packages
Integrated high-voltage starting source
Integrated driver and high voltage level converter (LS)
The high side driver is directly provided by the output of the high side driver
Accurate voltage boosting and stabilization
PFC can be configured to operate in the following modes:- DCM/QR
- DCM/QR/CCM
- CCM fixed frequency
- Integrated X-capacitor discharge without the need for additional external components
Good functionality of power supply
PFC jitter for optimizing EMI performance
Excellent power factor (PF) and total harmonic distortion (THD), as PFC current compensates for input filter current
During the evaluation period, multiple parameters can be easily configured using a graphical user interface (GUI), such as:
The operating frequency in all working modes is outside the audio range
The burst mode adopts soft start and soft stop to reduce audible noise
Accurate switching of energy levels between various operating modes (high power mode/low power mode/burst mode)
Enable/Disable Low Power Mode
Environmental characteristics
- Minimum switching loss achieved through valley/zero voltage switching
The efficiency of transitioning from low load to high load is very high
