TEA19162T and TEA19161T are ICs suitable for combination controllers (combinations) with resonant topologies such as PFC. They can enable the system to operate efficiently at various power levels. In addition, they can be combined with TEA1995T dual LLC resonant SR controller to construct a cost-effective resonant power supply. This power supply complies with effective regulations of Energy Star, the US Department of Energy (DOE), the EU Eco Design Directive, the EU Code of Conduct, and other guidelines.
TEA19162T is a power factor correction (PFC) controller. During startup and protection, this IC communicates with TEA19161T. It also supports a quick lock reset mechanism. In order to maximize the efficiency of the entire system, TEA19161T allows the TEA19162T PFC to be set to burst mode at low output power levels.
TEA19162HT/2 is recommended for applications that require high power factor performance, such as Energy Star 80+gold, platinum, or titanium.
