The Battery Management System (BMS) is the core component of a battery system, responsible for monitoring, managing, and protecting batteries, ensuring their safe and efficient operation, and extending their lifespan. According to different classification criteria, battery management systems can be divided into the following categories:

1、 Classified by functional complexity

Basic BMS

Function: Mainly provides basic battery monitoring functions, such as voltage, current, and temperature monitoring.

Applications: consumer electronics, small energy storage systems, etc.

Advanced BMS

Consumer Electronics BMS

Features: Emphasize miniaturization and low power consumption to meet the compact design and long battery life requirements of consumer electronics products.

Application: Battery management for devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.

Electric vehicle BMS

Characteristics: It needs to support high voltage and high current, with high safety and reliability, to cope with the complex operating environment of electric vehicles.

Application: Battery management for new energy vehicles such as electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles.

Energy storage system BMS

Centralized BMS

CAN bus BMS

LIN bus BMS
