NXP PWM Secondary Side Controller TEA1993TSC Product Introduction. TEA1993TS is a new generation synchronous rectifier (SR) controller IC suitable for switching power supplies, which uses adaptive gate drivers to achieve high efficiency under any load.
TEA1993TS is a controller IC specifically designed for synchronous rectification on the backup side of flyback converters. It integrates a sensing stage and a driver stage to drive the SR MOSFET, which rectifies the output of the secondary transformer winding.
TEA1993TS can generate its own power supply voltage for low output voltage battery charging applications or high side rectification applications.
TEA1993TS is made using silicon on insulator (SOI) technology.
TEA1993TS is suitable for flyback power supplies. In such applications, it can drive external synchronous rectification MOSFETs to replace voltage rectification diodes on the secondary winding of transformers.
